It is about 5 feet 6 inches long and has 2, 4 inch panels on both sides. It is used by folding it in half twice and swinging it softly with the right hand and holding it with the left hand. It takes about 4 hours to make using the butterfly stitch. Each panel has different designs and symbolisms depending on the ancestors and the healer. It is a sacred item that is used by high priests and priestesses. It is used by them during healing ceremonies to create a peaceful atmosphere and to calm the spirit, soul, body, and mind. It is a calming sacred item and is considered part of the Fumokilohijo - Beads of the Dragons/Guardians. A sacred group of beads only used, made and worn by the High Priests and priestesses. They are never miss handled, miss used, or mistreated believing to have the spirits of the Guardians/Dragons. This sacred item is believed to be a calming and powerful item believed to have the power to calm the mind, body, soul, and spirit of the person and spirits. It is believed to have the power to put others into a deep meditation, deep sleep, induce visions, dreams, and peaceful sleep, ease one into trance, astral projection, access past life memories, etc. making it a powerful, calming and peaceful object yet also a powerful and dangerous object. It is sacred and kept in the altar and/or gods house.
